Guangzhou Airport - the transfer point

The start of our journey!
After a very long flight, we arrived in Bayun International Airport to transfer to Bangkok.
Unfortunately no one had informed us that our flight was canceled so we are now waiting for the next one with a seven hour layover instead of three. We have been wandering around the airport, taking pictures and watching a strange cartoon about a magic monkey and a monk that rides a tiger. I also drew this sketch.
We ate some Chinese spaghetti and drank two teas before I realized we had no idea whatsoever the yuan exchange rate. I blame jet lag for impairing my judgement not to check first. No harm, Nicole found out the rate and our meal was only "slightly overpriced" as opposed to "ludicrous". At this point, we just can't wait to get to the Bangkok hotel to crash and prepare for our flight to Phnom Penh.

Update: due to the Chinese censoring of particular social media, we had to delay this post until our arrival in Bangkok. Crazy!
